These terms are an agreement between you and DUATECH LLC ("we", "us"), of Phoenix, Arizona, USA, covering the opnrs app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. By using opnrs you accept them. They are written in plain language on purpose; plain language is still binding.
opnrs is a question card game: a library of more than 10,000 conversation starter questions, organized by topic, that works offline on your device.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and its content on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. The questions, the app, the design, and the opnrs name are our intellectual property. You may read questions out loud anywhere you like, including at events you host. You may not copy the question library out of the app, scrape it, resell it, republish it as your own, or use it to build a competing product.
Some content is free. Full access is sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions include a 7 day free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins billing.
All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) against your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies and are requested through them, not through us.
On Android, all features are currently free while the app is in beta. This is temporary. When the beta ends, continued access to paid features will require a purchase, and we will say so in the app before it happens.
Mini pods are videos you record on your own device. You own your recordings. You are responsible for them: get the permission of the people you record, follow the laws that apply where you record, and use your own judgment about where you share them. We never receive or store your recordings, and we are not responsible for what you do with them.
Do not use the app in ways that are unlawful, that infringe other people's rights, or that attempt to break, probe, or overload the app or our services. Do not misrepresent an affiliation with opnrs or DUATECH LLC.
Your download of the app is also governed by the terms of the store you got it from. If you got opnrs from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms apply to the download itself; where those terms conflict with these, these terms govern your relationship with us to the extent permitted.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard on it, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Conversation outcomes are, happily, up to you and the people you talk to.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DUATECH LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; where that is the case, these limits apply to the extent permitted.
If you have a dispute with us, email support@opnrs.app before doing anything else. Most problems are fixable in one conversation, and we commit to engaging in good faith for 30 days before either side starts formal proceedings. We do not require arbitration. You keep the right to bring a claim in small claims court.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Arizona have jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory protections and venue rights, which remain yours.
You can stop using opnrs at any time by deleting the app; store-managed subscriptions are cancelled in your store settings. We may suspend access that violates these terms. We may update these terms; if we make meaningful changes, we will update the effective date above and note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
